Authorization

Aconite uses a simple, offline authorization. There is no always-on connection, no login required at play time, and no phoning home while you work.

The most important thing to know: playing Aconite is never gated. An unauthorized instance still makes sound. You can load a project, hear every patch, and perform with it. Authorization only unlocks authoring: saving your own work. Your music and your sessions are never held hostage.

Activation is a keyfile you receive when you buy Aconite. Authorizing is a one-time, offline step:

  1. Get your keyfile from your account or purchase email.
  2. In Aconite, open authorization from the header menu.
  3. Either drag and drop the keyfile onto the window, or point Aconite at its file path.

That is it. No internet connection is needed for this step, so it works on an offline studio machine.

Once authorized, authoring unlocks: you can save user presets, save your themes, and keep your edits. Everything you could hear before, you can now also keep.

Keep your keyfile somewhere safe (the same place you back up your presets and themes is a good choice). To set up Aconite on another computer, install the plugin and drop the same keyfile in.
